About the Basic Bible Course

The Basic Bible Course was created to offer clear, Bible-based answers to humanity's greatest questions: discovering our true origin, the reason for life, and what will become of each person after death. With a reflective approach centered on the Good News of Jesus Christ, the course invites participants to a voluntary, sincere search with all their heart. It is not about dogmatic imposition, institutional demands, or mere mysticism, but about a personal and genuine encounter with the will of God, one that transforms the human journey into a path of peace and fullness in the Lord Jesus Christ. As Scripture itself declares:

“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
— Jeremiah 29:13

Right at the start of the journey, the student discovers the solid foundation on which all the taught truths rest: the Bible as God's authentic revelation, inspired, infallible, and preserved throughout the centuries. The course shows that the sacred texts do not reflect mere human ideas or legends of their time, but the supreme authority of the Creator, communicated progressively to humanity. Written over about 1,600 years by dozens of authors from vastly different backgrounds and continents, its impressive unity and coherence attest to its supernatural origin, serving as a sure lamp to guide human faith and conduct. The authority of this foundation is reaffirmed in the statement that:

“All Scripture is God-breathed and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.”
— 2 Timothy 3:16

As the reflection deepens, the student is confronted with the real reasons that separate human beings from their original communion with God: the reality of sin and the illusion of living autonomously and independently of the Creator. Beyond visible actions and outward transgressions, the course shows how the secret motives of the soul, evil inclinations, careless words, and neglecting to do good raise a spiritual wall that no outward religiosity or self-effort can overcome. Understanding this root of the problem is essential to break self-sufficiency and grasp the extent of spiritual separation, for, as the prophet warns:

“But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.”
— Isaiah 59:2

Faced with the depth of this separation, the course reveals the sublime response of divine grace by detailing the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. The Savior set aside His heavenly glory, became man, lived a blameless life, and voluntarily gave Himself to the condemnation of the cross in our place, paying the debt of our transgressions and defeating the powers of darkness. By rising from the dead, He secured our justification before divine justice and established Himself as the one, definitive bridge between humanity and the heavenly Father. The path of reconciliation is summed up in these words of hope:

“For there is one God and one Mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus.”
— 1 Timothy 2:5

Finally, the participant contemplates the glorious promise of Heaven — an eternal, undefiled inheritance, full of communion, where pain, death, and weeping will cease to exist — along with the necessary path to reach that blessed reality. The course makes clear that good intentions alone are not enough to enter that home; it requires genuine repentance that turns away from the practice of sin and a living, convinced faith in the Son of God, receiving Him as Lord and Savior. It is through trust in the cross and in the redeeming power of Christ that the sinner experiences the new birth, justification, and the assurance of eternal life. As the Master Himself commanded when proclaiming the Good News:

“Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.”
— Mark 16:16
